In his solo, choreographer and dancer, Issam Zemmouri combines contemporary dance, physical expression and kinetic poetry. HISTORIA is a journey beyond the Mediterranean Sea. We are taken on a personal quest for liberation, along past, present and future.
Issam Zemmouri is a choreographer and dancer with a unique personal style: a combination of contemporary dance, physical expression and kinetic poetry. Through movement, he addresses sensitive subjects, where words fail.
Historia is a work-in-progress, exclusively shown during the ExploreZ festival.
From October 19 until 22, Issam also offers his workshop “Movement 2 Dance”, aimed at refugees and the LGBTQ community. Through dance, power structures will be addressed and stereotypes are broken, and artistic expression will gain free reign.
